Miguel Almirón is a Paraguayan professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for the Paraguay national team and Newcastle United in the English Premier League. Born on February 10, 1994, in Asunción, Paraguay, Almirón began his career with Cerro Porteño before moving to Argentine club Lanús, where he won the 2016 Copa Sudamericana. His performances earned him a transfer to Atlanta United in Major League Soccer (MLS), where he became a key player, helping the team win the 2018 MLS Cup.
