Argentina triumphed over England 2-1 in a dramatic World Cup semi-final, scoring two late goals to clinch their place in the final.

Argentina has secured a place in the World Cup final after a thrilling 2-1 victory over England in Atlanta on Wednesday. The defending champions staged a remarkable comeback, scoring both goals in the dying minutes of the match, with England leading 1-0 until the 85th minute.
Late Drama Seals Victory
Enzo Fernandez netted the equalizer for Argentina in the 85th minute, striking from outside the box after receiving a pass from Lionel Messi. Just two minutes into stoppage time, Lautaro Martinez headed in the winning goal, also assisted by Messi. Martinez expressed his confidence post-match, stating, “I dreamed it, I swear. I told Alexis (Mac Allister) that I was going to score. I told him that I was going to come on and I was going to win it.”
England's Disappointment
England had taken the lead in the 55th minute with a goal from Anthony Gordon. However, captain Harry Kane reflected on the loss, saying, “We worked so hard to be here. The lads have given every bit of blood, sweat and tears. To fall short like we did is just gutting.” Despite their efforts, including crucial saves from goalkeeper Jordon Pickford, England could not maintain their advantage.
With this victory, Argentina will face Spain in the final on Sunday in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The South American side has shown a consistent ability to come back in matches, a trait that has been evident throughout the tournament.
