The German Football Association has officially announced the appointment of Jürgen Klopp as the new head coach of the national team. Klopp, who takes over from Julian Nagelsmann following Germany's disappointing exit from the 2026 World Cup, has signed a contract that will keep him in charge until the end of the 2030 World Cup.

Klopp, 59, will commence his duties on August 15, as confirmed by the association in an official statement. Backroom Staff and Experience

Joining Klopp in his coaching staff will be Peter Krawietz, Pepijn Lijnders, and Sven Bender. Krawietz and Lijnders have been long-time collaborators with Klopp, contributing to major successes at Liverpool, including the UEFA Champions League in 2019 and the Premier League in 2020. Lijnders, who previously worked under Pep Guardiola at Manchester City, and Krawietz, who has a history with Klopp from their time at Mainz and Borussia Dortmund, are expected to bring valuable experience to the national team. Bender, who has also coached at Borussia Dortmund and served in various roles with Germany's youth teams, adds further depth to the staff.
