Balogun, who is considered one of the standout players for the United States, received a straight red card for a foul in their last 32 match against Bosnia and Herzegovina. FIFA's Controversial Decision

In a surprising turn of events, FIFA decided to suspend Balogun's red card for a year, allowing him to play against Belgium. This decision was reportedly influenced by an intervention from U.S. President Donald Trump, who subsequently expressed his gratitude to FIFA on social media for what he termed a reversal of a "great injustice." Norwegian Football Federation's Response

Lise Klaveness, president of the Norwegian Football Federation, has voiced strong concerns over the implications of FIFA's decision.
